On July, 9,2003, the wireless LAN standard propagandization meeting was held in Beijing. In the meeting the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Industry, Chinese Standard Committee, China Key Management Committee made propangandization for the «Information Technology—Telecommunications and information exchange between Systems—Local and metropolitan area networks—Specific requirements—Part 11:Wireless LAN Medium Access Control(MAC)and Physical Layer(PHY)Specifications» and «Information Technology—Telecommunications and information exchange between Systems—Local and metropolitan area networks—Specific requirements—Part 11:Wireless LAN Medium Access Control(MAC)and Physical Layer(PHY)Specifications:Higher-Speed Physical Layer Extension in the 2.4GHz Band». The aim was to promote the knowledge of correlated enterprises, equipments providers, integrated merchants and operators to make the standard better realize and direct the correlated industry to maximize the correlated industry benefit.

Vice Ministry of Ministry of Information and Industry, Han Jun, said in the meeting that the two standards were the standards of Chinese independent intelligence property. He applied lost of speciality not only at home but also at broad. The two standards provided advantages for the detection and management of telecom, and created better circumstance for the industry.
